How it all started
Motorcycles have fascinated me as long as I can remember. I got my first Sears mini-bike at six years old. Together my father and I rehabilitated both American and Japanese classic motorcycles back in the late 70's through the 80's. One of our first projects was a 1942 Harley Davidson Flathead that we got out of a barn from a neighbor. I was seven years old then, and I'm happy to say motorcycling, racing and turning a wrench has been my passion for over 30 years. I can't begin to express the gratitude I have for a having such a wonderful Dad and teacher.
The Motorcycle-Specs.com website has enabled me to combine my two hobbies motorcycles and computer programming. This is a massive collection of motorcycle and power sport data. I've been working on this collection for over four years. I've provided up to 68 different specification details on some models. I've also converted all relevant speeds, weights and measures from metric to US units and vice versa.
